CompAir's rotary vane compressor offering utilises the innovative rotary vane principle of compressing air. A rotor, the major moving part of the compressor, rotates within an offset cylindrical housing. Free sliding vanes fit into a number of slots in the rotor. During rotation the vanes extend to form individual compression cells. The rotor turns, progressively compressing the air as the volume of each cell reduces. Oil is injected during compression, sealing and lubricating as it cools the air. A multi-stage separation system ensures that only clean air is delivered from the compressor. Reliability & Low Maintenance The slow rotational speed of the rotor in all CompAir vane compressors reduces internal stress, considerably increasing compressor life, and results in noise levels as low as 66 dB(A) at 1 metre.
